Just when my wishy-washy mind is settled on homeschooling when we move to Del Rio, something happens to reaffirm my decision.

When I picked Paige up from school today she had quite a story to tell. (Names have been changed to protect the not-so-innocent.) It seems that on the playground during recess today, two of her friends Alice and T.J. decided to hide under the jungle gym and "K-I-S-S". Paige and her friend Jake were nearby and witnessed the "k-i-s-s-i-n-g".

When teacher noticed the kids under the gym, where they are not supposed to be, she called them over. She questioned Paige and Jake about what Alice and TJ were during wherein Jake lied and Paige, thank GOD, told the truth about all of the seven year old kissing.

Her teacher praised her for her honesty and told Paige to keep her eyes out for other kids kissing.

Paige said that when she and Jake walked away he turned to her and said, "Next time it will be our turn. You know, to K-I-S-S."

Luckily Paige quickly followed up that story with this: "I told him NO! I like him but not enough to kiss him and kissing is disgusting and inappropriate for my age!"

You go girl!

How's that to convince me to get her away from all of this kissing nonsense and into my schoolroom where I can protect just a little bit longer.
