Our New Christmas Tree!

It seems like only yesterday that I nice and gently let Jerry down when I informed his, kindly and gently, that I do not want to have to take care of real tree so please, please, PLEASE say you're OK with a fake one!

Unsurprisingly he took the bad news in stride with his customary, "OK, whatever. Got any meatballs?"

Since I am not one to let a good idea languish in the corner of my mind collecting dust, I decided to take advantage of Jerry's good natured attitude and by the dang tree before he either changed his mind or more likely changed mine.

No, wait. I bought the tree, while keeping the receipt of course, and THEN asked Jerry to change his mind.

Potato, Po-ta-ta.

The point is, we have a new and TOTALLY AWESOME Christmas tree!

Wanna see it?

Yes, you do. You may not think you do, but you really, really, really, really do.

Trust me!

It's still in the back of the Toyota.

Wait for it...........

Wait for it...........

BAM!!!!!

That's right my people, we will have a Christmas PALM tree this year, and next year, and the next, and the next!

It's six feet tall, pre-lit, and oh so Bahamian festive! (You know how I feel about my Bahamas.) Can't you just picture it dripping with ornaments and a huge present village built up around that beautiful clay pot?

Sing it with me:

Deck the halls with rum and coconuts
fa la la la la, la la la la
Tis the season to get out of ruts
fa la la la la, la la la la
Don we know our suits and flip flops
fa la la, la la la, la la la
Drink a pint and lose your tops
fa la la la la, la la LA LAAAAAA!!!
